Just put me on the spot
At my youth club we have an event once a year in the evening on a Sunday. This year we put on a mini talent show where a few people showcased their talents. Because we had to prepare for this I had to get there for 2:30 even though it started at 5 and the other people on my team neglected to inform me that I was going to do the presenting until about an hour and a half before I was meant to present. I tried to get out of it but "Harriet" the main leader of my youth said that she picked me specifically and that there was no way I was going to get out of it.
Being me I was kind of okay with it but I was just a bit stunned as to why they wanted me to do it when I don't normally do the presenting. The night was hilarious and most of my friends came which was good, after the event ended we started doing the shmoney dance outside in the park which definitely got us some weird looks from people passing by . Also my friend from my Tantrums and Talent shows post (the one that ran away) was there and it was really nice to see her and I made her promise to come to youth on Friday since there's not one in the half term.
Other than this Sunday quite good, in the morning at church me and my friends give out food as we do this thing called Pick n Mix where we eat food and talk to others. As this happens in the middle of the service we have to get up and leave halfway through. This week we had sweets and so naturally we all took some extras even though we were only meant to take one; I even hid a sweet in my sock as I didn't have any pockets. Anyway when we had finished giving out the food we went back to our seats to see that a couple was sitting in our seats.
Now me and my friends ALWAYS sit in the same place every week without fail so much so that on the rarest of occasions when I sit somewhere else it is literally like a shock to the system as I'm not used to seeing things from this angle. We sit in the left middle in the second row EVERY single week so I don't know how the hospitality team managed to think that there was no one sitting there. There are only 6 seats on a row and there were six of us and we could have squashed I guess but we haven't done that in ages. Literally when we all used to go to the same service we sometimes had 9 people on 6 seats just so we could all sit on the same row and still some of us would be scattered around the room.
When we saw that there where people there instead of saying that it was our seats or squashing them we decided to be mature and sit at the back. I now know why we never sit at the back. When we sit at the front we have no choice but to pay attention or at the very least stay quiet. But when you are at the back it's so easy to lose focus and half the time we were either laughing, fighting (like a physical fight) or stuffing our faces with the millions of sweets we took. I felt a bit sorry for the people sitting behind us as we were being very disruptive but it's so hard to concentrate when there's no one to see you misbehave.
By the end of the service I felt very ill because I had eaten so many sweets and it was like 9:30 in the morning. At one point I had some intense sugar rush and I couldn't move for like 30 seconds. Also a fly flew up my nose which my friends found really funny but that I didn't agree was funny and a girl from my school who I don't like not only came to my church AGAIN (like the fifth time now) but her and her sister were sitting almost right behind us. AWKWARD much. Especially since I had a class with her today, :D
Till Tomorrow x.
