Trainers or Heels

At my school we have a thing called a careers interviews which is where you talk to a lady about all the different options that you have post 16. I found this to be very interesting and helpful as it made some things a lot clearer. I thought I'd share some information about it in order to help any of you guys out there. 1. Most Universities want you have a facilitating subject. I'm sure most of you have heard this word being thrown around and this has got you into a panic because you think that you will have to take classes that you don't enjoy. Well this is completely not the case. Recently all the sixth forms in my borough had an event where they all showcased their school. They all basically had a stall where they had all of their prospectuses and leaflets about their school. I went there with my Dad and we looked around and picked up all of the prospectuses available (I wanted to keep my options open). Since I went during the school day, I was the only one from my school there but there was another school who had brought all of their year 11s to this event. In the upcoming weeks I will be attending some individual school open evenings so then I'll be able to give you a more in depth look at how these open evenings work and what to expect. The people presenting their schools were really nice and friendly, so they are definitely willing to answer any questions you may have in regards to your sixth form choice. Hey guys this is my first post on this blog so I thought I'd let you know a little about me and what's to come. First of all I just like to say that this isn't my first blog; I've had plenty, too many in fact, all about different topics with different themes but in the end I just ran out of things to say. But I wanted this blog to be different so I spent awhile brainstorming ideas of what to write about. Then it hit me! why not write about your life, (not that anything particularly interesting happens) that's something that will never run out of topics, and there's always something new to share so basically that's how we got here. With me writing a blog called Trainers or Heels about my life, as a navigate my final year of the murky sea that is high (or secondary) school.
