Slacking on my revision
Revision why does it exist? why do we have to do it? why?
These are the questions I ask myself whenever I go to start revising but quickly I convince myself that the need to revise is not urgent even though my mocks are in December . I really want to know who's stupid idea it was to move the mocks so early when normally they are in April, April not December, not just before Christmas, but April. To be honest whenever I try to trick myself into thinking that in a year I won't have to revise, it just makes me sad, because really I know that I have to revise for at least 6 to 7 more years of my life. Also to make it worse I have to revise more as I go along and I won't be able to get away with 5 minutes revision before a test.
I have not been revising and I probably should have been but the lure of YouTube and my laptop make it so hard to actually sit down and do it. Soon I'm going to have to get out of this phase and do some real work but I don't want to. It's sounds silly but it's just so much effort especially when I literally hate the majority of the subjects I do. I actually just need a motive right now, maybe if I think about what I could get if I do well in my GCSEs then this will cause me to get off my butt and work.
Closer to the time of my GCSEs I'll definitely revise then because I can't put it off any more but the fact that I have to revise for mocks so soon is just really sad to be honest. Here was me thinking that I could just have about 5 months to write up all my notes then I could start learning it from about March time. But no, things don't work that way in my life, so instead I've got to start revising soon. Especially for my science since that's my worse subject. I have started revising a little bit but it can get a bit much when you have so many subjects, controlled assessments, tests and homework all at once, it can be a bit difficult to juggle at times.
I actually need to learn my French for the speaking controlled assessment after half term but so far I've only learnt less than one paragraph. However I have done a little amount of revision and to revise for my exams I've bought a load of post it notes and stuck them on my wall, it's named so originally, The Revision Wall. I should probably go now since all my teachers seem to of conspired to have tests on the last week of term which is a bummer, and that just means more revision YAY! Wish me luck guys.
Till Tomorrow x.
